Tuesday was rough at work. I had so much to catch up with, but I made it work. I had to skip Chisel that day because Chrisle and I got into a special event for Nirvino at Right Loft. The venue was amazing, it was this beautiful loft that the owner of Right Gin lived in; the place was huge and super modern. And the dude said that he actually doesn't spend that much time there because he travels a lot. Gosh it must be nice to be rich. Nirvino was hosting a Learning Seminar on 21st Century Gin. I felt so inadequate as a cocktail drinker. Josh Harris of Right Gin who taught the class had so much knowledge about cocktails from the process, the ingredients to the caliber. and I learned that apparently the gin industry is trying to make a comeback because of the saturation of the vodka industry. When Josh declared, "Don't be boring and just order a vodka and soda," I almost ducked down with shame. What I can say? I'm a vodka boy and probably will always be one. The event was a lot of fun, and we got to taste some delicious cocktails not to mention eat a few slices of pizza. Meli, Phil and Christian of Nirvino always take such good care of us.

Because of the last cocktail at the event, we were so late in meeting Chrisn for a 3 Musketeers dinner at Tara. We had to taste and review all three cocktails featured because that then qualified us for winning an Absinthe fountain! At least the restaurant was close. Tara's food was okay, but the dinner time conversation was hilarious! I don't even remember what we talked about...oh yeah...RIMMING! LOL!

You gotta love a fabulous Tuesday in SF!

I had half a plastic bottle of gin left at my place that someone had brought for my party (I know, right), so I mixed it with orange and grapefruit juice. It was actually a good drink. I may have to price out some mid-grade gins. If the price is right, I could switch from vodka.
Wait, gin and juice? Who am I, Snoop Dogg?!
